The happenings in the Love Caps world..

So, Love Caps has kept me busy these couple of weeks. A lot of cutting and hole punching of tags has been going on! I am ready to get our donations back on track and I have enlisted some help from fellow Lions Club members to make sure this happens smoothly. Since I am now working part time (3 full days) and am active in my Church, things can get really overwhelming so I needed the help. Hopefully, by the end of this month we have a solid donation system for our local hospitals and clinics.

On another note, I have been slowly working on Love cap's "headquarters" which is also going to be my craft room. I am very excited to get this room painted and organized. Right now the walls are boring and a little dirty, but I have gotten a few neat items to get all my materials organized! Here is a sneak peek:


I used my mom's sewing table as my desk for now until I find something a little bigger.

On a more sadder note, today is one month since I said good-bye to my hero. It has been a day full of emotions, but I am doing my best to make the best of this lovely day because that is what daddy would want. However, it does not make me miss him less. Sometimes, I feel like this is all just a bad dream and one day I will wake up and daddy will be here smiling at me...I know this is not a dream and that is what makes it harder at times. I have been told time and time again that the pain will never really go away and I am slowly learning that. I know daddy would want me to go on with my life and not be sad. So, in order to honor his desires I am doing everything I can to make "Love Caps" the best it can be and give comfort and encouragement to those who need it.

Lastly, I met with Mr. Smith (Lions Club President) today and we discussed a lot of cool things in the works for Love Caps. We are starting to plan our summer party which will take place sometime in July or August. We are planning on hosting our summer party at a new place...more details to come once we get everything together.
